Broken toenailS!! ----> note the "S"!!!

Sigh. I don't even know how to describe how I feel right now.

Yesterday it was raining heavily. Like super thunder-lightning-rain kind of weather until can have Twister 2 movie made in Malaysia.

On the way home from work I had to cross this section that was flooded like seriously covering almost half of the wira in front of me and I could already feel my car shaking.

I was so scared lorr. I called KitKeat but he was busy talking to someone else. So I started praying and erm started reciting Hail Mary.

But I got home safely. Then KitKeat and I went for dinner, came home and when I got out of the car, I slipped *sobs* and both my feet went dashing towards thefather's car's tyre.

And I sat there trying to wait for the pain to sink in and when it did, I started crying like Therese, my 6-year-old niece going to Standard 1 next year I'm so proud of her lorr. I can still remember the nite before I started Standard 1. I was parading to thebrothers in my new school uniform because I thought I looked real smart in it. Then on the first day of school I realised I looked like a prisoner. Everyone in the same uniform.

So anyways, I was crying not because the pain was unbearable but because I knew I somehow broke a toenail.

I started examining my feet closely and I saw blood coming out of 2 toenails on the left foot - 1 broke horizontally, the other broke vertically. My big right toe on the other hand broke horizontally and it looked like a flapping wing so annoying that I cut it. And thank you, I now have deformed toenails.

I am wearing 3 plasters today and will be doing so for the next 6 months. Bye bye slippers. Bye bye open toed Guess shoes. Bye bye Melissa peep toe shoes.

If nothing appears out of the empty space by May 2009, it is indeed a sign that I should just kill myself and wear Giordano wtf.

Anyone plsssss... anyone at all... any idea how to speed up the growing process of toenails? I hate milk btw.

Oooh Oooh I've been tagged!!!!

My first time being tagged on a blog. I'm honoured wtf. Special thanks to Sook Kuan - my schoolmate and now my blogger friend as we just don't care about making an effort to meet as communicating through a blog would suffice.

Oh, I haven't told you about Sook Kuan? Ok, we go waaayyyyy back. Like 1989 in primary school.

She was one of my closest friends back then 'cos ppl fat-lah wat not many friends-lah ok. Who would want to play with a fat kid rite?

So we 'hung out' even more when we found out we were in Blue House together. Got common ground-lah ok. No wait, I think the common ground is another issue below.

We ended up in Blue House together and everytime we had to line up according to our house colours, there was this other girl named Tong Li Fern that wanted to join in.

And as humble as I might be, Tong Li Fern was bigger than me then and hence, Sook Kuan and I ended up disliking her. Wah, 7 years old got hung hing gang already wtf.

So everytime Tong Li Fern wanted to stand between the both of us during the line up, I would run to the back of Sook Kuan and likewise but this Tong Li Fern perhaps didn't have any other friends as well ended up running around too.

Well, that's my only memory of Sook Kuan and besides the fact that we used to love hanging out with her eldest sister and disliked her 2nd sister 'cos her eldest sister was so cool and her 2nd sister looked like KitKeat's best friend (ya, like I would've have known how my future husband's best friend would look like in 1989) and also 'cos I never had a sister-lah gimme a break!

Hot or Cold

My face is seriously flushed 'cos I'm having a cold.

So when you get a cold you get the whole package.. Zzzz.. Headache, drowsiness, blocked nose, change of voice, being teased at 'cos change of voice and in the end just plain tired!

My nose is seriously blocked. So serious that I cannot even sniff a whiff of air through my nostrils.

I really dunno how I survived last nite. I was sleeping and at one point, I noticed that I was breathing through my mouth. So dowan bad breath-lah rite.. and worried that I might end up being a snorer, I closed my mouth & forced myself to breathe thru my nose.

And I ended up worrying whether I would suffocate in my sleep *_*

I'm trying to focus focus focus but my eyes feel hot like they're about to pop like popcorn any moment but my arms & fingers are freezing!!

I can't decide if I'm hot or cold. I'm drinking hot water now though. I think I'm becoming real sick. Seriously sick. Somebodeh pls call an ambolansi for me!!! *faints*

Someone has a new Blackberry Bold. Damn action. All I hear everyday is "This bold dammmmmmmnnnnnnn nice!".






Although the camera's only 2 megapixels, it seems to take clearer pictures than my phone. That someone has been taking photos of everyone else & everything except me! Hence, I officially hate that phone.

In case you're wondering why there is a photo of me and that someone as the wallpaper it was because I forced him to take it.

And I have deleted that photo from the phone so I can honestly say that he doesn't have any photos of me because I only blog about the truth!

But I secretly kinda like the phone because it doesn't have that annoying scroll like the older Blackberry models do. It's like I can almost sleep peacefully at nite once again.

Wedding = Conference?

I attended FanOfWarrenBuffett's friend's wedding dinner last Saturday and I think a lot of people got married last Saturday I wonder why. Good date ah?

So anyways, upon arrival, I saw that they had a bunting at the registration table:


And I was like thinking to myself, are conferences becoming so commercialised that weddings are taking after them?

The registration table even had a sign-in book whereby you write your name down & sign beside it - which is similar to our attendance list at conferences.

The groom & bride's speech is similar to a keynote speaker's session and the 'yam seng' activity can be related to practical exercises in between sessions.

Wedding favours are considered Certifications of Attendance 'cos seriously, I dunno why but everyone unconsciously collects wedding favours (erm, except yours Pei Chyi, I drank yours with green tea de) similar to how everyone keeps their certs no matter what cert it is!

Believe me, I still have my Pendidikan Moral cert (apparently for getting the highest marks) from Standard 4. And I only got it 'cos the girl that aced Moral also aced Malay, English & Maths. So the teacher forced her to give one up. And that was how I gained my 5 seconds of fame on stage receiving the cert.

I can see the relation so clearly now. I even texted Pheng to tell her about the bunting and yes, I am this easily amused.

Since marketing is Pheng's forte, she has volunteered to source for endorsements for my wedding including free ads. Min: Would you like to help out with sponsorship?

We may even place pencils & notepads at the tables so don't be surprised.

A glass bowl even at the registration table for everyone to drop their business cards just in case in future I would need to conduct research calls wtf.

Q&A sessions will be conducted after the dinner.

And for all of you who do not understand or cannot relate to what I am saying, you definitely do not belong to the same industry as I do. Thank you.

Dress

I'm in the middle of a huge crisis! I thought I had everything prepared for next Friday but apparently not!!!

The most important part was to get a dress but no no since I very well thought that I do not frequently wear the dresses in my cupboard, I shall just pick one and wear it proudly like a new dress.

So I DID pick one. And I tried that particular one last nite and I ended up looking like a freaking OL!!! How like this???

I couldn't even bear to look at myself in the mirror. I looked like some aunty and how is that dress even going to match my hello kitty ear rings?!?!

Ok, just kidding I do not have hello kitty ear rings. But I do have a hello kitty bracelet though *paiseh*

Anyways, I was in shock and I started panicking and decided once and for all I have to go shop for a new dress. I even bought new heels to wear on that day and how often do I buy new heels (don't count slippers/flats ok?)?!?!

But I had to leave out the dress. Why? 'Cos I thought being frugal could be a good thing but I'm over it! I cannot even bear to walk out in that dress yet alone take heaps of photos in that dress and look at the photos and cry for the rest of my life?!

So I made a plan last nite:
To ffk Jeek for gym (sorry Jeek this is between life & death besides you ffk-ed me on Mon & Wed so now it's my turn *nyet nyet nyet*) & beg Josie to accompany me look for a new dress today.

So I tried calling Josie's phone once again last nite and I kept getting the msg "Sorry, the number you have dialed is not in service" wtf!!!!!

I even tried sending her an sms - "can't get you again. pls call me when you get this" but the msg couldn't go through!!! Can Maxis like expand their network area to Putra Heights pls!!!!

I was in the middle of a crisis and needed to scream with someone and I couldn't even get the person I wanted to scream with!

I remembered Josie telling me that she works late so out of desperation, I called Mrs. Wang, to force Mr. Wang to give me the office no. despite him telling me 10 times that Josie has left the office.

After trying a few more times, I finally got through to Josie's mobile thank God and she agreed to make time for me on a Friday nite oh thank you Lord for friends like these.

So yeah, I'm hoping to go home with a dress tonite. Can everyone pls gather round to form a circle and pray for me?

Dear Josie

This is in response to your post/letter dated 11 November 2008. I thank you for taking time to write me a post/letter but then again come to think of it, you were bored so I shall pull back my many thanks thank you.

Here I would like to update you on my life, very openly, without holding back whatever I want to write like I sometimes do (and yes, you may share it with Mr. Wang).

I know this may come as no surprise for you (or it might I dunno, are you surprised by the actions going around here?) but the woman beside me and I have been shifted to the back of our floor and no matter how hard I wipe the freaking table, there's this funky smell that I occasionally smell a whiff of thanks to the person who sat here before me and you very well know who that is.

We have a new member called Gopi who joined us today. No, he does not look like a guppy but I'm sure he drinks lots of kopi. He is currently being managed by Ms. I-am-so-right-everyone-else-is-wrong-and-I-like-to-talk-about-food.

Today the woman beside me and I managed to save RM4 because we didn't need to go to the 2nd floor to tapau lunch as Haidi kindly tapau-ed fried mee hoon from the hotel for us. Apparently we have switched hotels to that big big place beside Pudu jail and they allow us to tapau food oh what fun!

Guess what? FanOfWarrenBuffett and I completed our 6-week Catholic Marriage Preparation Course last nite and I have a cert to prove it! Nah! *shoves cert in Josie's face*. Hence, my Tuesdays are finally free again so pls give me a ring should you need someone to accompany you walk in Cold Storage 'cos I absolutely love the Japanese chips there!

I'm sorry that you would have to miss next Friday's 'event' as I was really looking forward to have one of the camwhores there so I dun look so thick skinned screaming on my own "TAKE PHOTO! TAKE PHOTO!". If you wanna kaypoh about who's going, here is the list:

3) Julia who is Ju btw since you went like "huh?" the last time I mentioned Julia.

I did invite Mrs. Wang but unfortunately she would be travelling to Dubai the next day so doubt that her boss would grant her leave. Hence, you might have to be Mr. Wang's best friend once again next week for FIVE, lima (malay), gor (hokkien), mm (cantonese), wu (mandarin) freaking days! And yes, I am this good with languages/dialects wtf.

Anyways, not like you'd be interested to know or what but I have a new Hello Kitty calendar on my desk for 2009. I bought it when I was in Singapore with the woman beside me and she assured me that it looked like a calendar that could stand on my desk. But as it turns out, it's a calendar meant to be hung on a wall so once it hits January, I will start sticking it up on the wall behind me like I used to at my previous place.

You know how Tuesdays are stationery requisition days? I've been so lazy to actually request for post-its 'cos seriously I have no idea what form to fill or where to even get the form and even more lazy to ask HR or the receptionist. But what joy did I get when I found out I had an unopened post-it right in my first drawer beside me as I was clearing it out yesterday due to the shift of seats. Yes, I am this easily amused. The post-it is right in front of me now and I have nothing really to write on it.

So there. Nothing completely interesting going on in my life rite now because it's all about work work work. Go home, Grey's grey's grey's!

Absolute Bazaar

Nope, this is not a post about the items I bought from Absolute Bazaar. It was the day whereby I actually set up a table AT the bazaar to showcase some of CuteKiutShop's cutest stuff!

Whoopeedoo!

The weekend has passed. Monday has passed.

The oh-so-tiring-to-wake-up-at-8am-to-set-up-table-at-Absolute-Bazaar feeling has passed!!!

Thank you everyone for dropping by to keep me amused for a bit.

It was actually real tiring yes, I'm such a whiner. It was hard work sitting at the table waiting for customers to drop by. I finally know how it feels. And I salute all boutique owners out there! *Salute!*

And I salute FanOfWarrenBuffett even more to have sat there the whole time with me! *Double Salute!*

And erm, that table cloth is not really a table cloth. It's actually a blanket from Ikea lorr 'cos I have no experience in buying table cloth whatsoever and what kind of person would be sibeh paiseh to reveal such things!!

I know, I haven't been updating this blog as often but work has been quite hectic lately and when I go home, I just want to continue watching Grey's and fall asleep.

Last nite, FanOfWarrenBuffett and I had to go for a follow-up session from our Natural Family Planning class. This additional class is compulsory as we are attending the Catholic Marriage Preparation Course (CMPC). And we graduate next week!!! Yay!!! My Tuesdays are free again!!!

The follow-up session only lasted for 15 mins so we decided to go for another round of dinner wtf and before the session we already went to Opus and both of us had a huge plate of spaghetti each!

For the next round of dinner, we ended up at Solaris Mont' Kiara. Initially we thought of trying out Dessert's Bar but then roast pork sounded more yummy so Providore it is!

The CMPC course teaches us about communication in marriage and look who's so into communicating:

I tried annoying him by blocking his view to take each page of the magazine every time he turned the page but phone camera no flash so boh pian the photos turned out dark.

But I continued doing it just to annoy him. Yes, I really am annoying like that.

Anyways, Providore serves Aussie kind of food plus drinks plus whatever-lah you can think of. We ordered roast pork belly and a sizzling sausage which was yummy. But I feel the roast pork belly still can't beat Jarrods! And gelato after *slurp*

Opposite of Providore was this huge Cold Storage so as we were leaving I just had to walk in 'cos they have cooler stuff compared to other Cold Storages around.

They are now selling marshmallows in the shape of Christmas trees, snowmen & "JOY" etc.

They even had marshmallows in the shape of ghosts and pumpkins and whatever Halloweeny stuff but since I am not a big fan of marshmallows, I got the Halloween edition for Therese instead. I wonder if they will come up with a CNY edition next.

I remember Josie telling me that her office is situated right above the Cold Storage so I decided to give her a ring 'cos mana tau ppl no life still in the office at 8:30pm or wat.

But couldn't get thru'!

So anyways, if you guys pass by Federal Highway heading towards Subang, you'd realise there's a new (ok I dunno new onot 'cos I dun go to Subang every other day) billboard poster for the cartoon "Bolt" by Disney.

The poster has a dog and a hamster on it and I went:

Me: Eh so CUTE! The dog so cute!!!! *shouting & pointing to billboard*

FanOfWarrenBuffett: Yup, but you don't really know whether Bolt is the dog OR the hamster now do you?? *commented in a very I-like-your-idea-but-it-confuses-our-target-market-which-makes-it-hard-to-relate-to-our-actual-product-offering kind of tone*

Me: I think Bolt is the dog lorr. 'Cos the hamster is holding a flag that states "Bolt's No. 1 fan"

FanOfWarrenBuffett: Oh, is it?

*_* Ya ya just pretend to be blind-lah ok! Ooo I can't wait to watch this movie. I couldn't find the same billboard poster online but just to let you share my enthusiasm, here is Bolt!!!

My hard earned purchase!

Thanks to my event in August, I decided to treat myself to something new.

And since my old phone's battery has died completely and my Sidekick keeps showing an activation screen and each time I'd have to press certain keys to make it disappear, I decided to get myself a new phone.

A new phone all on me!

Last Friday I forced Pui Fong to come to KL so that I could go look at phones and she accompanied me for a whole hour walking through Low Yat just to find the exact right phone that I would like.

Can someone pls tell me why the phones in Malaysia are so boring!

If it's not Nokia, it's Sony Ericsson. And the same models are placed endlessly in all stores!!

I got tired after a while and decided to give up when we walked into this corner and stumbled upon this LG booth.

And I fell in love with 3 phones there ok! I really couldn't make up my mind but I finally narrowed it down to 1.

We tried bargaining for the phone but the guy wouldn't budge and the only free stuff that he could give me was a 512MB SD card. Super sien lorr.

So Pui Fong pulled me away from the store although I was ready to pay and we suddenly stopped at another booth and this guy straight away gave us the cheapest price of all and he was even willing to give us a 1GB SD card for free!

So guess what! Pui Fong bought one too!!!!! And we're loving our phones:


The phone comes in 4 different colours. But the both of us chose pink+white. I wanted to get a white phone but now, there's pink on it as well so 2-in-1 damn value can?!

Today, I am thoroughly convinced that I can be annoying like that.

Ok, for real now... the price that Pui Fong and I got it for was RM650!!!!! No '1' in front of the '6'. I'm serious! Wah! I'm so happy I can faint rite now!

So anyways, Pui Fong and I came up with an equation:

I spent the weekend exploring functions of the phone, choosing which hp accessory it can go with and since Pheng and I bought more stickers last week, I finally decided to bling up my DS:

The sunnies is actually a cardboard tag from my Alice McCall dress I got from TopShop. Dunno why I couldn't bear to throw it away.

My room is full of all these crap that I collect each time. Price tags also I wanna collect. Can somebody pls tell me what is wrong with me!

I even used to collect CNY cards from each year until I realised that it was insignificant 'cos all ppl wrote in the cards were "To Mei Li, From XXX". Year after year. Then texting became popular.

But I still have my collection of b'day cards wtf.
