As you all probably know by now, I'm such a bore with office workwear. If it's not black, it's white. Plus the occasional brown. Or grey.
Yes, I exude visual boredom.
Hence, what more for cardigans rite?
I only have 2 white cardigans and I currently do not dare to wear them out because they have holes here and there.
But I still wear them to work to keep myself warm plus no one really cares or at least I thought, until Jojo mentioned it.
To further prove my point, here are a few photos of what a sad case I really am:
**There used to be a few holes along the collar line but theparents' maid kindly sewed it up for me so not only do I have a torn cardi but a tattered one too. This is my cardigan that I bought from Warehouse and it cost me RM200+ ok!
But I really love it 'cos the shape of the cardigan complements all of my blouses/dresses. And it's really comfortable too!
I've been using it for quite a while now hence the discolouration. But am too fond to part with it.
Also, I've bought myself a new white cardigan from Far East Plaza in Singapore and it has a cute little dog in replicated Burberry print material on it.
But I am still wearing the above Warehouse cardigan instead. I used to be real emo throwing away old soft toys and I feel the same for this cardi.
Old soft toys I can still understand because I secretly think that they have feelings too (koff koff I am still me ppl pls still be friends with me!) and I can't bear to tell them "Goodbye, I'm sorry you have to go.. you've been stuffing up my nose for years thank you very much!"
But a cardi?? What can I say to a piece of cloth?! Where do I even look at the cardi when I say it?! The buttons ah?
Oh well, I think I would say "Thank you for keeping me warm but rotting wasn't that good an idea because I had to spend more money to replace you and now I'm seriously broke!"
And I sit right beside the rubbish bag (note black bag on the right).
Actually it's a recycling bag-lah. We're recycling paper in the office you reckon if I were to dump this cardi in the bag to recycle it'd proli turn up with the cleaning lady on Monday as her cloth to wipe our desks?
Then I'd have to explain to the cleaning lady in cantonese that 'li gor hai sam lei keh cheok chut pin keh" (this is a shirt wear outside one) wtf my chinese sucks!
Ok ok maybe not just to save ourselves the drama.
Hence, I am still wearing the torn cardi as I'm typing this. Yes, I'm compassionate like that thank you.
