My Actual Birth Day

Hallo world!! I'm so happy 'cos I'm connected to the Internet again!!!! I'm currently in this hotel called Regal Kowloon and they charge for Internet ok!!!! So I literally had to force/beg FanOfWarrenBuffett to pay HKD150 for a 24-hour use of Internet wtf. Super chekai or wot! KLIA also got free wi-fi-lah.

Anyways, the only 'happening' thing near our hotel is that they have this cafe opposite our hotel called the Charlie Brown Cafe!

And then we went to this super ex cafe that serves super ex gelato 'cos the initial cafe we wanted to go to was closed for renovation wtf. Everything here is closed for renovation like they got nothing else better to do but to deter tourists and renovate wtf.

So anyways, I saw this guy and was telling FanOfWarrenBuffett that that guy looks like some bald, gay guy in those chinese shows and apparently it was the same bald, gay guy that appeared in chinese shows and apparently his name is Wyman:

Tamagotchi

Wassup y'all!

Tonite as I was waiting for Pheng to come pick me for a yamcha session, I was dead bored.

I then found a tamagotchi I bought the last time I was in Singapore completely untouched. The strip that you have to pull out to activate the batteries was still there ok!

So I decided to 'adopt' a new pet tonite... to give new life to those who are in need of it wtf.

I had to wait for the egg on the screen to hatch in order to determine whether it was a boy (black) or girl (clear).

Of course I was hoping for a girl-lah wtf. Who wants a black pet??

Waiting in anticipation, the freaking egg hatched into a black patch of pixels that you just feel like you want to so die can???

Anyways, you have to name the tamagotchi and I even had a name all prepared for a girl - Momo wtf. But since it turned out a boy, I named it 'Minor' (ya, like Fort Minor 'cos I'm such a hip hopper these days wtf).

I now find it more convenient to have a tamagotchi at my age as opposed to having one when I was in school becos:

1) You can bring it anywhere - during my school days, it was completely banned. If they caught you with one, it'd be confiscated by prefects who proli just kept it for themselves or brought it home in replacement of their dead cat/dog wtf. Like they got nothing else to do in school but confiscate accessories, CDs, discmans (eh, my era no MP3 players yet ok! So stop rolling your eyes), Seventeen magazines, posters and whatever they were deprived of-lah. And if you're now thinking why does Mei Li have so much wrath towards prefects, mind you, I was one *hurhurhur*

2) The games that you have to play with your tamagotchi are relatively easier.

3) You sleep later than the tamagotchi - Minor slept at 10pm tonight ok! Can you imagine if I were to take care of him at the age of 8 and my bedtime was at 7pm? Sure die of hunger-lah wtf!

Ok shit, I can only find 3 benefits wtf. Whatever-lah. If you guys have a tamagotchi version 4, pls come and find me 'cos apparently our pets can build a new generation of baby tamagotchis thru' this infrared function. Damn advance now or wot!??! Yeah, right! If damn advance freaking make the tamagotchis colour screen-lah. Black patch my a$$! Ya, so anyone interested to build a new herd of black patches together wtf???

Last night we went to watch The Forbidden Kingdom at GSC Signature at The Gardens.

RM20 per ticket ok!!! The Gold Class is RM60 per person ok!!! Can so die ok!!!!

We decided to try the normal ticket 'cos RM60 can buy other more necessary things ok!!!

It's all couple seats so it's all good.....

Hello everybody!! This week I wrote poems for Sharon & Pei Chyi but I cannot post them here as it involves some sensitive issues.

So suddenly today, the Emily Dickinson in me decided that it was time to compose one for Grace instead.. ya damn lame but read it anyway.. come!!

Fringe

The whole of yesterday I kept asking everyone (ok-lah, maybe only FanOfWarrenBuffett, HelloKittyModel, Grace, Josie, Pheng) as to whether I should cut my fringe straight.

I then decided in the afternoon that I should just go home and sleep on it wtf.

As I was driving home, I had the choice of going straight towards Milcah (who works at the Qube in Plaza Damas) or turn left to go home. I quickly gave her a ring to see if she could fit me in to cut my fringe. Unfortunately, they don't open on Mondays wtf.

So 'boh pian', had to go home. At the traffic light right outside my house, I was super gung-ho all of a sudden, I decided to drive to Telawi to try out Shawn Cutler.

Damn happy as I was walking up the Telawi street which I thought Shawn Cutler was located at. When I reached the end of the street, I then realised that perhaps it was located at the next street parallel to where I was.

Lazy to walk over, I saw peek-a-boo right in front of me. So I walked in to enquire how much do they charge for fringe. And the guy was like "Frinngeeee ah? Frinnngeee is free wan wor". Free of course have to sit down-lah wat? Still stand there to think meh.

I then told the stylist that I wanted straight fringe. He looked super worried and went like "Have you tried this style before?". "Yes", I replied. He continued to ask me "So what do you do when the fringe grows over your eyebrows and touches your eyes?". "I sweep it to the side". "Very good!!", the stylist commented, nodding his head with approval.

Wah, I didn't know cut fringe also got quiz wan. *Mei Li wiping sweat off her forehead with the back of her palm*

Anyways, I look damn 'cina' now..... so DO NOT laugh at me the next time you see me:

Sunnies

Last nite Pheng told me that she needed to go to The Curve because of these shades:



.... and that it was 30% off and yesterday was the last day. So die die also we had to sit through the Friday traffic to get there. EA shades ok! Don't pway pway.

Obviously when we got there, Pheng had to try on different designs to get a better feedback from Ju and me. But we ended up giving different comments and this confused Pheng even more.

So we decided to go for dinner first in order for Pheng to think through as to which pair she really wanted.

After dinner, we went back to the store... here is the salesman that assisted Pheng:

At last, Pheng decided on a pair. *Mei Li wiping sweat off her forehead with the back of her palm* And I think she looks pretty cool in that pair. She wanted to wear it to Laundry (where we headed after for drinks) but held back when we reminded her that it was 9PM?!?!! Will take more photos of her in her new shades if I see her anytime in the afternoon. *wave* *wave*

I dread calling UOB121

I was trying to purchase a bag online this morning and when I used the PayPal account to confirm the transaction, a warning sign came up stating that the transaction has not been completed and that I should contact the merchant. Therefore, I went back to the website to complete the transaction without using the PayPal account but by filling out my credit card details manually. When I clicked "complete/submit" or whatever wtf, the page loaded back to the confirmation page as to where I would key in my shipping address & mode of payment etc.

As I was unsure as to whether the transaction went thru', I called UOB's call centre 'cos I only have one credit card and it's from UOB since 2005 - damn loyal or what. So this girl, Zuhaila or Suhaila answered very quickly ('cos dunno why everytime have to wait for 10 years before someone answers the phone).

Z/Suhaila did the normal verification process and I asked her to check for me as to whether the transaction went through. She told me that she could see 2 transactions that I did at 9:40am with the same amount from the same merchant but it has not been approved for now.

I then asked her, "So does this mean that it's been rejected?" and she repeated herself "It's not approved for now". So let's say I'm some old lady who was born in 1943, do you think I would've understood wtf she meant? If not approved, means rejected, am I right?

Ok, giving the benefit of doubt that I used to work there, I completely understood what she meant meaning that the transactions might take a few days before it gets statemented onto your account. So I asked her how do I cancel the 2nd transaction?

Z/Suhaila told me "Hold on ye!". Proli had to check with her colleague/senior/asst. manager/DM/AVP/VP wtf (why banks got so many job titles I dunno) 'cos I doubt anyone has given her training on disputes as of today. So I waited for 5 minutes for this answer "You call dekat merchant-lah! We all at the bank cannot cancel it for you". Ok, first of all.. who TF are 'we all'?? I'm confident that there would be ONE person decent enough to actually solve this problem for you - or at the very least, assist you in finding a solution. Second of all, I did not expect 'you all' to cancel the transaction for me. I just needed to know the right procedure in order for me to cancel the transaction.

So I told this 'helpful' Z/Suhaila, "I understand that you cannot cancel the transaction but you must also understand that I did this transaction online and the merchant stated on the website is from the US". Z/Suhaila replied, "Ya, you call the merchant-lah!". Very conscientious in her service delivery indeed. I know that I'm supposed to call the merchant but what do I actually say to them? I wouldn't want to waste my time explaining to the merchant that I clicked here there here, and then this page appeared, and then that happened, and then my bank told me to contact you. I just needed to find out if I were to contact the merchant, what reasons do I state as to why I would like to cancel the 2nd transaction. Or what form should I fill with UOB? I'm pretty sure there is a particular form for this as they have heaps of forms for everything! *If anyone wants to find clients to provide their streamlining processes/software/application wtf, pls do target UOB first* How difficult is that? I can't be telling the merchant, "Oh, I want to cancel the 2nd transaction becos Z/Suhaila asked me to call you" wtf.

Anyways, I was super frustrated after I hung up. Z/Suhaila was no doubt attentive and efficient in replying and answering my questions but the result of it all - NOT EFFECTIVE!!!! Not even a courtesy note of saying "Perhaps I should check and ring you back shortly?". Far out!

I've told my friends about this and their normal response was like "Aiya, cina bank werttt". To begin with, Z/Suhaila isn't even chinese and to think that UOB has such an established presence in Asia, I would've assumed that the training given to staff would've been on par with the expectations of their customers. I do not need special treament, I do not need extra annual fee waivers/points, I do not even need you to exceed my expectations wtf. I just need a solution to whatever problem I have each time!

One of UOB's corporate strategies on their website states "To promote a strong service culture within the organisation, distinguished by prompt and courteous response to the needs of customers". Perhaps it's time that they decide to execute this because they might not care if they lose me as a customer but slowly and surely, the deficiencies in service delivery would make them lose out to intense competition these days. Great, increase your sales, achieve bottom-line profitability, gain ROI, but let's all sit back and watch how long you are able to sustain it!

Why am I so tired?

I'm so tired. I feel drained. And I slept at 12am last nite as opposed to the usual 2am. So why do I feel so tired?Reflecting on the past 12 hours...

8:20: Hello world! I'm back in the office wtf. Checked e-mails, logged onto usual sites.

9:00: Made coffee.

9:10: Made tea - I bought this tin of diet tea from Hojo. Apparently it's some Mongolian or Tibetian tea that's supposedly used in the old old old old olden days before our grandfather (Brother Smell Hua: Or was it great-grandfather?) decided to settle down in this 'boleh' country wtf as a diet tea. So now it's all compressed in a form of a tablet and so far after drinking 2 tablets for the past 2 days I always feel like puking wtf.

10:00: Msg-ed Pheng on msn. Asked her to kill me 'cos I was feeling sleepy. She told me she was feeling bloated instead.

10:30: Continued to bug Pheng to kill me. Pheng said she's reading Kenny Sia's blog and would need to start work soon. I told her I was reading the Pak Lah vs. Mahathir trashing back and forth plus Karpal Singh and dunno what Ong something wtf. How much more lame can I get wtf wtf!

10:45: Ate my 1st pork bun.

11:00: Read up on articles for research.

12:00: Said bye bye to boss as she needed to catch her flight back to Singapore.

12:15: Ate rice cracker.

13:00: Lunch time - I planned to take a power nap but dunno how I ended up watching Malaysian Dream Girl episodes 9 & 10 without Grace *sniff* and gobbled down my 2nd pork bun like never ate in 10 hours wtf.

14:00: Sent out e-mails. Calls... and the whole works-lah.

15:30: Asked Pheng why I'm still alive wtf.

16:00: Ha??? Only 4 o'clock mehhhhhhh. Continued reading.

17:00: Washed cup. Filled water bottles for tomorrow.

17:20: Pheng told me 4 more mins to 5:30pm so hang in there. But the clock on my computer showed 5:20pm wtf. Was complaining to Pheng that it's all a scam. My company cheating us 6 mins of our resources.

17:30: Yay...

18:15: *^%&$#$% Got home. Damn a lot of cars out there I tell you!!! FanOfWarrenBuffett said he'll come over at 7pm so no time for me to nap. Had to shower straight away.

19:15: Arrived at Bangsar Village. Dined at the Banquet. I ordered detox juice again but nothing's happening while I'm typing this entry wtf. Con money only. Like the Hojo tea only. But I'm still drinking them wtf!


Now I'm home sitting here wondering what was so streanuous bout my day that I feel super tired. And no, it's not that time of the month. And I know because it was just last week ok?? I paid attention in science class during Form 4 ok wtf!

It's now 9:30pm... I think I shall call it a night wtf. Oh wait, I bought a cupcake earlier from Marmalade so I'd have to eat that first. But double wait, I can't go to bed right after eating. How????? *screws ticking/clocking/moving/turning in mei li's brain wtf* Why??? Why am I faced with such problems in life!!! *hur hur hur*

P/s: If you guys are thinking that there are bigger problems out there such as Dr. M. vs. Pak Lah's drama, I have my own problems to deal with first can? Like how my neon blue HelloKitty phone charm doesn't match my black phone is my own problem can?? Btw, since we're on this topic, which is better with a black phone? Pink or blue HelloKitty charm? I can't seem to choose. HOWWWWW????

Hey, it's ok...

To the man in the black X5 tonight, it's ok to be caught digging your nose while stuck in traffic. Tonight as I was making my way over to Ling Ling's place, I was stuck in a bit of traffic due to the traffic lights that only gives you 10 seconds to pass??

So anyways, as I slowed down to halt at the traffic light, I noticed that an X5 pulled up beside me and this guy with a receding hairline was digging his nose enthusiastically as tho' his windows were tinted like a Menteri's car wtf. I think he got self-conscious after a while when he noticed that I was staring...

Therefore, I've decided to come up with 5 things that's totally ok to do while you're stuck in traffic alone - in no particular order:

1) Digging your nose. There's time so why not get clean hey? But please do use a tissue. The sight of the whole finger up the nose with the head tilted slightly to one side is very unsightly.

2) Text. They said it's dangerous to be holding a mobile phone while driving but you're pretty stagnant in Malaysia's traffic I assure you.

3) Move closer bit by bit to the car in front of you in hope that the slight distance would make a difference of whether you'd be able to pass through before the lights turn red.

4) Sing along to your favourite tracks. Good time to practice before you hit the next karaoke session again. Don't be put off by the stares/glares from the cars beside you... they're just jealous 'cos their cars proli only have power windows wtf.

5) Learn the actual name of the road you're on just in case someone in future were to approach you for directions, you wouldn't have to go, "Oh, that restaurant is at the north-east corner from KL Tower" wtf.

Bunnies

Oh so cute! Josie got 2 new bunnies over the weekend. They're named Tom (the black one) & Jerry (the light brown hamster-like one):

When Josie told me in the morning that she got bunnies, I was like "Where is it?" 'cos I thought she meant like soft toys. Josie replied calmly, "At home lorr". Some more I continued to ask her, "You mean they're real??". Josie said apparently Grace had the same reaction wtf.. why-lah are we like this?

But anyways, her bunnies are super cute lorr.....

Super HAPPY Sunday!

Today I met up with:

... for lunch. And we bumped into Jeek with her dad & sister as we were walking into Alexis. Her dad was apparently getting a haircut so she had to follow wor. Jeek: Earning brownie points ah? *nyet nyet nyet*

After lunch, we went Telawi shopping!!!!! Super awesome or wot!!! We spent approximately 3 hours walking up and down stairs hopping from one boutique to another *grin*.

**Me and HelloKittyModel in one of the dressing rooms... didn't get to buy the top so had to take a photo to pretend that I own it wtf.

**Me and Shin pretending to be bored while waiting for HelloKittyModel to try on 20 blouses at Cats Whiskers. We took so many photos and I think this one was the best I guess. I kept telling Shin to give me a bored look! I kept going.. "How do you look when you're bored??!!! Look like you're damn 'sien' liddat!" But at the end her face still looked the same so I'm guessing that's how she'd look if you were to bring her for ballet class wtf.

We then met Ling Ling for dinner....

After dinner, we continued shopping at the Curve. As Ling Ling is going overseas to work soon so she'd have to shop for stuff here as it's cheaper and I'd have to shop 'cos... erm... uh... peer pressure wtf!

Anyways, I gotta go continue uploading the photos of Ling Ling's farewell onto FB as she was chasing me for it tonight - like as though ppl got nothing else better to do than to sit at home and resize photos one by one wtf. Ok-lah, I admit that I've been sitting at home but damn lazy to go through the photos one by one can??

Monday's coming. I can feel it! HelloKittyModel and Shin were having this very 'intellectual' conversation 'bout how we should have shorter working days and Shin mentioned that in Holland ppl only work from Mon-Thurs as they're trying to promote family orientation or something like that... I wasn't really following the conversation 'cos (1) I tend to zone out if it's a subject that will never ever happen to me, (2) I also tend to zone out quite often as my attention span is like wot... 5 minutes?, (3) Shin was speaking in Mandarin most of the time coupled with HelloKittyModel's halfEnglish/halfMandarin - can so die ok?? If you can see nemo in the photo, you will realise that Therese has placed the Donald Duck headband on nemo and hence, Zachary now thinks that nemo is a princess wtf. He keeps telling Therese, "Princess cannot play here!!!" but Therese thinks that he's referring to Cinnamoroll (which is a puppy by Sanrio btw and she told me that it looks like one of her princesses at home) and replies, "But I already put her back on top!!!" (Kindly refer to the white & blue soft toy beside the green frog).

So i looked around my desk and the only yellow thing was a little chicken desktop cleaner that Ju gave me. And for 'extra punch' need to combine yellow with blue or orange rite.... so my water bottle is blue and the cover strap is orange. Therefore, I've got both blue & orange - damn value! Does that mean I'd have double extra punch??

It's addictive you know... this customising shit. Who knows.. I might start customising my own watch tomorrow... with highlighters... I have a new yellow one from the office wtf. Damn 'kiasu' as I already have 3 highlighters in my pencil case but still took the yellow one from my HR lady.

Or maybe I should go buy one of those Adidas shoes whereby I can use these special coloured pens to colour on your own pair of white Adidas shoes. I can so picture myself colouring vigorously like the little boy drawing a ring continuously in the movie "The Ring" wtf.
